about.
I am a New York metropolitan-based artist and a graduate of Syracuse University, where I earned a double major in Art History and Fine Art, with a minor in Biology. My academic foundation has provided a rigorous grounding in classical technique, historical context, and material mastery — all of which continue to inform and challenge my practice today.
My work lives at the intersection of two seemingly opposing forces: the structure and precision of classical art traditions, and the raw, expressive energy of contemporary graffiti and urban visual language. I am interested in how these worlds collide — how a Renaissance-inspired portrait might coexist with the urgency of a spray-painted tag, or how the formal beauty of anatomical drawing might rupture into gestural mark-making born from the street.
Graffiti introduced me to a language of immediacy and rebellion — an unfiltered form of visual communication. In contrast, my academic training taught me control, reverence, and the slow process of refinement. My practice now seeks a balance between these poles, where the discipline of the old masters meets the improvisational spirit of the street.
As I step beyond the confines of institutional critique and classroom instruction, I am focused on building a body of work that feels hybrid and honest — rooted in history but born from the present. I explore themes of identity, place, and cultural layering, using my art to fuse tradition with disruption, refinement with instinct.
